Supplemental terms
Routa is licensed to you by the app store you downloaded it from — for the App Store, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These supplemental terms sit alongside that agreement and cover what is specific to Routa: the service, subscriptions, health and safety, and how we handle changes. They do not replace it. By downloading or using Routa, you agree to both. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Routa is provided by Routa Labs, a company registered in Finland.
Your licence to use Routa
Your licence to install and use Routa is granted by the app store you downloaded it from, not by this page. If you downloaded Routa from the App Store, that licence is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement — the Apple EULA. It covers the scope of the licence, which devices you may use it on, restrictions on copying and reverse engineering, termination, and its own disclaimers and governing law. We do not restate it here, and nothing on this page narrows the rights it gives you. Where these supplemental terms conflict with your store's licence agreement over the licence itself, that agreement applies.
The service
Routa is a mobile app that plans endurance training, assesses your daily readiness, controls a smart trainer over Bluetooth for indoor rides, and records outdoor rides with GPS. Features and content may change as the app develops.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Routa.
Subscriptions and billing
The core app is free. Routa Pro is an optional subscription billed through your app store account. The first month of Pro is free; after that it renews automatically at the price shown in the app until you cancel. Manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by the store you bought through, under its own terms.
Health and safety
Routa is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Its plans, readiness calls, and metrics are general training guidance built from your own data — not a judgement about whether you are well enough to train. Endurance training carries risk. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have a health condition. Stop if a session feels wrong, and seek help if you feel unwell. You decide whether to train on any given day, you train at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own health and safety.
Third-party services
Routa relies on third-party services to deliver app updates, process subscriptions, and — if you choose to link an account — sync your training data. Your use of each is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Which services these are, and what data reaches them, is set out in our privacy policy.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Routa working but do not guarantee it will be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or trainer. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. To keep the app current, Routa may automatically download and apply updates — through your app store or directly when you open the app — and these terms cover the app as updated. We may update these terms as the app changes; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Warranty and liability
In addition to any disclaimers in your store's licence agreement: Routa is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the same extent, Routa Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms or your store's licence agreement limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under Finnish or EU law. In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These supplemental terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Your store's licence agreement carries its own governing-law clause — the Apple EULA, for one, points customers in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland to the law and courts of their usual place of residence.
